Let's Pray (for your neighbors!)
If you've been around South Cities for a bit, you've probably heard me commend prayer walking. We believe God placed us where we are (cf. Acts 17) for the eternal good of those around us (think coworkers, neighbors, teams, schools, etc.). We also believe God can do more than we can in our own strength, so we pray. A prayer walk could happen in your actual neighborhood, around your workplace, your school, or the fields/courts where you spend time with people around you that don't know Jesus.
We kicked off our summer sermon series on loving our neighbors (you can find that here). We asked you to write names and places down on a 3x5 card and begin praying for those names and places this summer. We've reached out to our community with Stay on Mission, Pan-O-Prog, VBS, and other ways. Our youth have prayer walked many Lakeville neighborhoods already.
You'll get an email from me soon letting you know all about how we hope to equip you this Fall to share the gospel as we pray that many more in these south cities would come to know Jesus. We want to grow in joining each other in sharing these burdens for our neighbors and praying for God to work. Let's saturate these south cities with the love of Christ and let's start with prayer.
