Community Groups

Connect, grow, and spread the gospel in the South Cities.

Community Groups exist to provide a smaller context not for socialization, but for obeying the commands of Jesus to love one another. We believe this can certainly take place in some measure in the entire congregation, but can be worked out even further in smaller settings. These groups aim to be intentional in holding each other accountable to the commands of Jesus, loving each other through the trials of life, and supporting each other in ministry inside and outside the church.

Groups assemble at least twice a month, aim to be intentionally small, and invest in the congregation and in the community in informal and formal ways. They are scattered throughout the south metro, with many meeting in Lakeville.

These groups are led by those who aspire to lead a group, have been identified by the elders, and trained to care for their Community Group. Unlike many "small group" ministries, leaders of these groups are not necessarily teachers, hosts, or cooks. Rather, they aim to be assessors and facilitators of spiritual growth, keeping the group on task for the sake of loving each other and furthering the call of discipleship in each other and then reaching out to others.

Community Groups are for those who consider South Cities their church home and are on their way to covenant membership.
