The nature of faith shows that all people have faith; it is only the object of that faith that differs. For Christians, the object of our faith, Jesus, has given us the gift of faith so that we might have a sort of sixth sense to perceive the objective truth of God’s promises. We are part of a long series of saints who also had this faith, who also long for another home beyond this earth to a new heaven and a new earth. We’re to press on in faith to the place of God’s presence together with all his people.
