“A Perfect Sacrifice to Perfectly Save: The Fullness of the Gospel in Hebrews” — Pastor Daniel Viezbicke
Kernel
Christ’s single sacrifice signals the substance of what all the Old Testament shadows point towards. It is so sure, and so final, that he sits down as a priest, with no more need for any other sacrifice. This sums up the New Covenant spoken of in the Old Testament, where the law is in our hearts and forgiveness is final and complete. This aids us in looking forward, anticipating the good things prepared for us, instead of looking backwards, wondering if this covenant is sufficient to complete our salvation.
